How to get in touch
What's useful to mention
None of this is required, but it makes the conversation more productive:
- Which fixtures are affected, and what each one does when it runs.
- Whether more than one is affected at the same time.
- Whether it has happened before, and roughly how often.
- What was done last time, if anything.
- The property type and roughly how old the building is.
- Whether you know where the cleanout or house trap access is.
If you do not know some of these, that is entirely normal. Most people do not.
If you are not sure what you need
That is a reasonable position to be in, and it is a fine reason to call. The difference between a line that needs clearing and a line that needs looking at is not always obvious from inside the building.
If it turns out an inspection is not warranted, you will be told that.
Where Sewer Monster works
Throughout Brooklyn, New York. Sewer Monster currently serves Brooklyn only — staying local is what makes it practical to know the kind of drainage these buildings actually have.
Before you call
If drains are currently backing up, it helps to stop adding water to the system — avoid running fixtures, dishwashers and washing machines until the line has been looked at. Clearing access around a cleanout or house trap, if you know where it is, saves time on arrival.
